General information about data processing

If personal data is collected from interested parties, customers and users of our platform, this serves the purpose of providing the online offers, their content and functions, the provision of contractual services, communication with users, for marketing, advertising and market research and for technical security measures. Depending on the type and scope of your use of music-on-the-line, inventory, contact, contract, payment and usage data as well as metadata regarding the access to our website are processed.

Access data & hosting

Contract & payment data

In principle, payment processing for the MotL-Market area takes place via the externally integrated partner Spreadshirt.

When concluding a contract, we collect personal data for the execution of the contract, such as your billing address for chargeable offers, as well as payment data based on Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR and Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR. When paying by direct debit or credit card, the payment data you have entered will be transmitted to the payment service provider PayPal or Postbank. Music-on-the-Line has no direct access to the payment data you have entered. The payment service providers use the data transmitted to you on behalf of Music-on-the-Line to collect the price of your subscription / booking from your bank or have it debited from your credit card company. When paying via PayPal, your email address and billing information will be sent to us after you have been authorized by PayPal. Music-on-the-Line has no access to your payment data stored with PayPal. Payment data is only transmitted via encrypted connections.


Usage data and community activities
Music-on-the-Line reserves the right to save various details about usage behavior and community activities. In this case, this data is used, among other things, to be able to offer you recommendations for friends, groups, events or other offers, your last viewed profiles and similar functionality. We use various communication channels to be reachable for you or to get in contact with you. In particular, you can contact us by phone, email or via social media channels. In doing so, we will store the data you have provided and, if applicable, your telephone number, e-mail address or IP address in order to process your inquiries. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR and our legitimate interest in structured processing and management of customer inquiries. The processing of your inquiries by email is done by the provider Domainfactory GmbH.


Customer surveys & reviews
Music-on-te-Line is very interested in evaluating and documenting the satisfaction of our members and customers through surveys by email and using them for further improvements. Should service providers be commissioned to collect customer feedback, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR and the endeavor to further optimize our services for users.

Web analysis & A / B testing
Music-on-the-Line uses Google Analytics to check and improve the offer. Information about your usage behavior, the browser you use and settings are collected. This information cannot be linked to you through the web analysis services or through Music-on-the-Line. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR. Google Analytics is a service of Google Inc., for the analysis and improvement of the offer. The information generated by the cookie about the use of Music on the Line is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Music-on-the-Line uses IP anonymization for Google Analytics. Punishable behavior by users
